SassyBlack
SassyBlack
SassyBlack is a space aged singer/songwriter & producer based in Seattle, Washington. This Goddess of “electronic psychedelic soul” & “hologram funk” explores the concepts of sound through deep compositions. With roots in classical & jazz, her voice is often compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Erykah Badu & Georgia Anne Muldrow. Her production value and creativity is reminiscent of Roy Ayers, Pharrell & Herbie Hancock. Graduating with a Bachelors in music from Cornish College of the Arts in 2008, Black has traveled the world performing in cities such as Berlin, LA, Madrid, Barcelona, New Orleans, Lisbon, Manhattan, Milan, London, Brooklyn, Rome, Shanghai, Washington DC, Sydney & more.

You may also know Black from her (now defunct) group THEESatisfaction and her appearances on both Shabazz Palaces albums Black Up & Lese Majesty all released on Sub Pop Records. In the summer of 2015 she independently released her EP “Personal Sunlight“ which garnered attention from Okayplayer, Exclaim!, Afropunk, Pitchfork & more. Her debut solo album No More Weak Dates released May 17th 2016 to great review & praise from The Fader, Loud & Quiet Magazine, Noisy, DIVA, Dummy Mag, Saint Heron, FvF & other well known media outlets.
Madison McFerrin
Madison McFerrin
Madison McFerrin is a born and bred Soul artist who combines the story telling once revered in the past with the sound of the 21st century. Currently based in Brooklyn, New York, she has spent her life cultivating her style through studying and playing. As the co-founder of the funk/soul group Cosmodrome, she spent her college years touring the Eastern US playing venues large and small, from legendary NYC club The Blue Note, to Bonaroo, opening up for Emily King and Hiatus Kaiyote, all of which helped land the attention of notable artists such as Chick Corea and Questlove of The Roots. She then joined the SpiritYouAll band led by her father, jazz vocalist Bobby McFerrin, as a background and featured vocalist from 2013-15 for his global tours. She has since sung with greats such as Aretha Franklin, George Clinton and the PFunk All-Stars, as well as for hip hop legends De La Soul backed by The Roots. With the hope of bringing old soul into the popular music of today, Madison has gone about curating her own individual sound while honoring the many influences that came before her. Using these elements, she independently released her debut EP, and first installment of her fully a cappella series entitled Finding Foundations December 2016.

From nights karaoking in bars to performing in sold-out festivals in Belgium, Miss Eaves, realized performing was like a drug she couldn’t quit and she fiended for it. With her tongue-in-cheek rhymes in tow, her music has led her to perform at shows such as Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld and Dour and Les Rockomotive. Most recently, touring with Wheatus and MC Frontalot around the UK.
