A celebration of WOC artists & artisans past, present, and future

Brooklyn based soul singer Madison McFerrin invites you to join her for The Sissieretta Series — a celebration of women of color (WOC) artists & artisans past, present and future.

On the heels of a stellar 2018, where she garnered praise as a Rising Artist by Pitchfork, mesmerized crowds from the Kennedy Center to SXSW with her soulful, layered harmonies and made her European debut, Madison returns to the Bed-Stuy venue where it all started to join fellow black & brown artists & artisans she admires in curating an intimate series of experiences for their community.

Inspired by the trailblazing career of 19th century soprano, Sissieretta Jones, who developed her own vaudeville production to highlight her talented friends and showcase her one-of-a-kind vocals, each evening of the The Sissieretta Series will feature local WOC performers and vendors Madison has invited to join her in building a safe space for creative exploration.

In addition to hearing Madison’s soulful a cappella sounds from her Finding Foundations EP series, each week will also give audiences an initial taste of her upcoming collaborative projects with her big brother, dynamic producer, Taylor McFerrin, who recently wrapped up a world tour as part of Robert Glasper’s band R+R=NOW.

Get your tickets today to join this month-long celebration of dynamic women of color!
